YOUR ROLE

The Senior Automation Engineering Lead position entails a full-time and adaptable work schedule. This role may require occasional travel, both internationally and domestically, up to 30% of the time, to collaborate with global teams and facilitate project execution.

In this capacity, you will provide support and guidance to Project Engineers on projects of medium to high complexity, ensuring that all technical requirements align with client expectations. You will develop flowcharts and engineering documentation to ascertain software needs and propose effective solutions while designing and implementing software systems for clients in the food sector. Your responsibilities will include managing the technical scope of work to meet project objectives, participating in project evaluations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and clients. Furthermore, you will assist the Project Manager in ensuring effective project execution, addressing technical challenges throughout all project stages, and continuously capturing and applying lessons learned to improve performance and quality.


QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR AUTOMATION ENGINEERING LEAD

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in control and automation engineering, electrical engineering, robotics engineering, mechatronics engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in controls and automation engineering, including programming
  • Proficiency in developing application solutions using various software
  • Experience in supporting and advising project engineers
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve inquiries or issues during design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, start-up, and operation phases
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time
