Key Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization. They will be responsible for:

  • Employee Relations and Engagement:
    • Act as an intermediary for employee questions, comments, and concerns
    • Communicate policies, updates, and organizational changes
    • Respond to benefit-related inquiries
    • Address and intermediate conflict when necessary
    • Ensure employee adherence to company policies
    • Address performance and behavior issues and take disciplinary actions
  • HR Systems Management:
    • Maintain up-to-date and legally compliant records
    • Regularly review and update HR policies and procedures
    • Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate payments
    • Administer 401(k) plans, health insurance, and other employee benefits
    • Manage daily attendance
    • Oversee vacation/PTO requests and approvals
  • Employee Life Cycle Processes:
    • Manage recruitment processes
    • Coordinate the interviewing of candidates
    • Work with local partners to place and integrate high school/college apprentices
    • Lead new employee orientation and training programs
    • Work with our training and development partners/programs to support employee development initiatives (workshops, cross-training, coursework, etc.)
    • Handle terminations and offboarding

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required
