JOB LOCATION: Remote (US Based)

TRAVEL: Up to 40%

POSITION SUMMARY:

The ERP Solutions Engineer – Accounting will collaborate with client stakeholders to identify requirements and tailor software solutions to fulfill client expectations. Ideal candidates will possess experience in the accounting sector, with technical expertise in nonprofit and/or governmental management software, database management, and foundational knowledge of Governmental Accounting (GASB), GAAP - AR, AP, Payroll, and General Ledger.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze contracts to ensure understanding and compliance with the scope of work.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to comprehend the client's business operations.
  • Report on project/workstream statuses and risks to Project Managers.
  • Conduct product overviews and solution demonstrations.
  • Evaluate current and future states to ensure features and functionalities align with scoped requirements, including compliance standards.
  • Install databases and software, configuring solutions to meet client specifications.
  • Develop test cases, execute tests to identify and rectify errors, and confirm that implementations meet outlined specifications.
  • Facilitate client/end-user training and support.
  • Provide assistance during testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
  • Transition solutions to production and conduct post-production evaluations.
  • Assess client requests for enhancements and collaborate with relevant departments for scoping and contracting.
  • Work with Support to transition client solutions into the maintenance phase.
  • Maintain communication standards to keep clients informed of status, progress, and any issues.
  • Organize and lead internal and external meetings.
  • Foster positive relationships with both internal and external partners.
  • Create system or implementation process documentation for stakeholders.
  • Offer technical guidance and knowledge transfer to technical client and project team members.
  • Enhance project and internal documentation and processes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree in an accounting-related field or 2+ years of experience in software/IT client services.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, SQL, XML, scripting languages, and/or Java.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to cultivate collaborative relationships.
  • Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Adept at prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of experience in a software training and implementation environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial/accounting roles.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, XML, scripting languages, Java, and/or Groovy.
