Job Opportunity

BAE Systems USA is seeking a skilled geospatial open source analyst to perform in-depth research and analysis in support of a government customer. The selected candidate will be responsible for answering requests for information in a timely manner through provision of both source documentation and summary information. Projects will cover a variety of topics and regions and require use of a combination of classified and open sources, including commercial databases, open and proprietary/commercial geospatial resources, news and social media sources, and client-based applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to support government customer requirements
  • Provide source documentation and summary information in a timely manner
  • Work with customers and/or other geospatial open source analysts to develop and execute research plans

Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in open source research, all source analysis, or similar role
  • Familiarity with basic research techniques, database searching, and standard source citations
  • Demonstrated ability to research, synthesize, and organize detailed findings for presentation to customers in multiple formats
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Foreign language expertise
  • Experience with GIS or imagery applications such as ArcGIS or RemoteView
  • Experience using analytic visualization software such as Palantir or Analysts Notebook
  • Briefing experience
