Job Summary

Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team in a PRN capacity. As a key member of our Patient Access department, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and access to our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors, addressing their questions, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collect and accurately enter patient demographic and financial information into our registration system, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring proper documentation and signatures on all necessary forms.
  • Process patient payments, including copays, deductibles, and coinsurance amounts, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and efficient patient registration, medical necessity verification, and test/procedure ordering.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy, meeting or exceeding departmental targets and quality standards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; minimum one year of patient registration experience in a hospital/healthcare setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in software applications, including HMS, MEDHOST, Passport, and TMHP.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
