Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care in the CVICU. This position requires a skilled nurse to coordinate all functions in the unit, collaborate with the management team, and model a commitment to the organization's vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of patient care services and collaborate with subject matter experts to create an environment of teamwork.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, as well as implementing courses of action to ensure a competitively better organization.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
