Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Technician to join our team at LCMC Health. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing therapeutic care to our patients. This is a full-time position with variable hours.

Job Description

This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • ">
  • Maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu by monitoring compliance with program rules and providing assistance with security and supportive manpower.">
  • Conducting group sessions with and without a preset agenda and format in the absence of social workers or expressive therapists.">
  • Documenting significant occurrences, observed behaviors, I&O (if ordered), and observation findings in patient charts and reports to nurse.">
  • Communicating in a courteous and polite manner, responding with appropriate verbal and non-verbal expressions.">
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient care and other tasks as necessary.">

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Allied Health, or a related field. Alternatively, we may waive the degree requirement for individuals with > 10 years' experience working in an inpatient behavioral/mental health facility. You should also possess 3 years of experience on a psychiatric unit or in another healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications

">

We prefer candidates who have a BLS certification and CPI training. If you're interested in pursuing these certifications, we'll support your development during the orientation period.

Compensation

">

The estimated salary for this position is $ 65,000 - 85,000 per year, depending on your level of experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
