Position Overview:

The Facility Maintenance Specialist at RECARO Automotive North America is responsible for ensuring that the premises are maintained in a pristine and organized state. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks including floor maintenance, wall washing, glass cleaning, and the proper disposal of waste. Additionally, it includes the removal of snow or debris from walkways and the collection of litter from the outdoor areas.

Core Duties:
  • Conduct daily vacuuming and targeted cleaning of carpets in areas with high foot traffic.
  • Perform weekly polishing and wiping of all accessible metal surfaces.
  • Empty trash bins in both production and office spaces on a daily basis.
  • Engage in daily dust mopping and wet mopping of all hard surface flooring.
  • Dust frames and clean glass surfaces weekly, as required.
  • Daily sweeping or dusting of all exposed flooring types including concrete, vinyl, and rubber.
  • Utilize germicidal disinfectants to clean restroom floors and eliminate spots and stains each day.
  • Polish restroom mirrors on a daily basis.
  • Thoroughly wash, wipe, dry, and disinfect all restroom fixtures including toilets and urinals every day.
  • Ensure that soap and paper towel dispensers are replenished daily.
  • Clean walls to remove fingerprints and stains on a daily basis.
  • Promptly report maintenance concerns to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
  • Timely report any safety issues to the EHS Manager.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to lift weights of 50 lbs or more.
  • Capability to stand, stoop, kneel, and walk throughout an 8-hour workday.
