Job Title: Assistant Controller

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Assistant Financial Controller to join our team at Michael Page. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a proven track record of leading teams and driving financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the company's accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Develop and manage the company's budget and financial forecasts, providing detailed analysis of variances.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, ensuring professional growth and development.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Partner with senior management to support strategic initiatives through financial insights and analysis.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies in financial reporting and operational procedures.
  • Monitor cash flow, financial performance metrics, and working capital to ensure financial stability.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred) or active CPA certification.
  • Minimum of 8 - 12+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Understanding of Project Accounting and WIP a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
