Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at a leading manufacturer specializing in raw materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal policies.
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee general ledger activities, including reconciliation of accounts, journal entries, and adjustments.
  • Cost Accounting: Analyze manufacturing costs and variances, monitor inventory levels, and provide cost analysis to support budgeting and forecasting.
  • Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the reliability of financial reporting.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and prepare reports and recommendations for management.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, and provide variance analysis to support strategic planning.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and other legal requirements. Prepare and file tax returns as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and provide guidance to junior accountants and support their professional development. Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure effective workflow.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
