We are looking for professionals with the required skills to achieve our goals in the role of Senior Computational Pathologist Lead at 1925 GlaxoSmithKline LLC.

Key responsibilities include guiding priority oncology, respiratory, immunology, and infectious diseases clinical development strategies and providing technical input to clinical study designs across GSK. Additionally, enabling rigorous biomarker & diagnostics plans with biomarker scientists, companion diagnostic scientific leads, and research unit experts in study selection and stratification needs.

In this role, you will lead and build high-innovation clinical-grade bioassays to fulfill study program needs. Drive work with a First-in-Industry artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) organization with embedded computer scientists to build state-of-the-art computer vision digital pathology quantitative tools to generate high-density data to support first-time-in-human studies through late development (Ph2/3+).

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $180,000 - $250,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking individuals with a strong background in anatomic pathology, including residency training and board certification. Experience in laboratory medicine, including assay development and validation, clinical interpretation, and regulatory aspects, is also essential. Additionally, expertise in molecular genetic pathology, flow cytometry, and imaging analysis is highly valued.

A minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical work experience and 2 years of additional postgraduate clinical work experience are required. Experience in diagnostic pathology and laboratory medicine skills, including interpreting pathology data in the context of a deep understanding of molecular and cellular biology, is also necessary.

A Master's level degree or Ph.D. in a related field with bench wet-lab experience is desirable, as is a clear demonstration of high-quality scholarly inquiry of biomedical research.
