Job Summary

As a key member of the Nutrition Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient distribution and marking of menus, as well as accurately recording diet information on relevant forms. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and organize functions and activities in the Nutrition Services Department to ensure seamless meal processing and distribution.
  • Maintain knowledge of patient computer systems, diet modifications, and enteral formulas to process diet changes and special requests.
  • Oversee tray-line assembly and distribution, as assigned.
  • Accurately record diet prescriptions and information on relevant forms.
  • Maintain menu filing systems and office supplies.
  • Determine food counts and maintain records of numbers.
  • Assist patients/customers with menu selections and provide excellent customer service.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and educational programs.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of patient care and nutrition, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant information to ensure effective patient care.

Common Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain and document all applicable required information.
  • Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker interactions.
  • Comply with the company's attendance policy.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Perform work in a cost-effective manner.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Months of related experience in office/clerical or food service setting (Substitution: Graduate of applicable technical school program may substitute for months related experience)
Credentials
  • Food Handlers Card (Required) Within 30 days of hire
