Position Summary:

Adena- Construction Project Manager - Heavy Highway

The Project Manager is responsible for leading, directing, and coordinating the daily management of construction projects. This role is primarily based in Mansfield, Ohio.


Key Responsibilities:
- Review estimates prepared by the estimating team
- Assist in developing schedules, phases, and logistics
- Conduct constructability reviews as necessary
- Create bid packages and define scopes of work
- Manage the bidding, awarding, and procurement processes for subcontractors and suppliers
- Oversee daily project management tasks, including:
  o Establishing initial project budget structures
  o Updating project budgets monthly
  o Completing and overseeing change requests from owners and subcontractors
  o Auditing project costs and expenditures
  o Managing invoicing for owners and subcontractors
  o Ensuring project profitability
- Produce monthly project status reports and present to leadership
- Generate and distribute monthly executive reports
- Oversee the RFI and submittal processes
- Provide monthly schedule updates
- Implement quality control programs
- Collaborate with the Superintendent to ensure project timelines and safety standards are met
- Facilitate OAC meetings and lead regular Project Manager meetings
- Maintain and organize project documentation
- Manage all construction documents
- Oversee project closeout and completion documentation
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Owner, Design Team, and stakeholders
- Mentor and train Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers
- Continuously assess and mitigate project risks
- Participate in RFQ/RFP responses and project interviews
- Assist in identifying and developing future project opportunities
- Adhere to company safety policies to foster a safe work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Adena- Construction Project Manager - Heavy Highway

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy civil construction, including bridges, culverts, road reconstruction, and site work
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with VISTA accounting and project management software preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
