About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Construction Materials Field Technician to join our team at ECS Southwest, LLP. As a key member of our Field Services department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction materials on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites.
  • Conduct routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using various methodologies and testing equipment following industry standards and compliance.
  • Collect and analyze data, perform calculations, and document findings in accordance with accepted engineering practices.
  • Maintain effective communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance professional skills and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of related experience in construction materials testing.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current basic level certifications and willingness to obtain additional advanced certifications.
  • OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 85 lbs and carry multiple items throughout the day.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Strong communication and math skills, with proficiency in electronic devices and MS Office.
