PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:


To courteously and efficiently present and serve food and beverages to patrons, adhering to Wyndham Visalia standards and applicable regulations in a secure and safe manner.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Warmly welcome, prepare, and serve drinks to customers in accordance with Wyndham Visalia beverage service protocols and legal requirements.
  • Ensure workstations are prepared and maintained for optimal service before and after each shift.
  • Adhere to all cash handling procedures and financial protocols as instructed by Wyndham Visalia.
  • Complete all assigned side work tasks as per the established schedules.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

Experience with Aloha system is advantageous.

Prior experience in bartending is a plus.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

Experience: A minimum of one year in a serving role is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong communication and hospitality skills (English proficiency required).

Ability to handle phone inquiries.

Proficiency in cash handling.

Capability to thrive in a dynamic and enjoyable environment.

Workplace Conduct:

  • Comply with payroll procedures (clocking in/out) and the code of conduct outlined in the Wyndham Visalia employee handbook.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all safety and security protocols to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.
  • Report any unusual incidents or requests to the immediate supervisor or manager on duty.
  • Read and adhere to all regulations and conduct guidelines as specified in the employee handbook.

None.

None.

Availability:
Must be available for flexible shifts, including days and evenings; schedules will vary based on operational needs.

100% - Handling trays weighing up to 20 lbs., and carrying silverware and setups of similar weight.

100% - Continuous walking at a brisk pace in a high-traffic environment.

Continuous Standing:

100% of the time.

Climbing Stairs:
Up to approximately 25 steps, 40% of an 8-hour shift.

Driving:
No driving required.

Work Environment: Inside: 100% of an 8-hour shift.

Hearing:
Critical for communication with guests.

Vision:
Critical for navigating between guests and tables.

Speech:
Critical for effective communication with guests.

Literacy:
Critical for taking orders accurately.

Protective Clothing:
None required.

Equipment Operation:
Coffee machine, toaster, and Aloha system as needed.
