About the Role

The PGA TOUR is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Manager to lead the day-to-day management of our designated events. As a key member of the tournament team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the Tournament Business Plan, including the development of sellable assets, temporary facilities, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Planning and Operations
    • Contribute to the creation and adherence of a comprehensive business plan for the event
    • Develop and implement operational requirements, including construction timelines, vendor management, and security plans
  • Relationship Building and Communication
    • Establish and maintain relationships with host clubs, local sponsors, media, and community leaders
    • Interface with community leaders to foster a positive impression and perception of the event
  • Financial Management and Reporting
    • Assume fiscal accountability for the success of the event and accuracy of financial reporting
    • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost containment and margin optimization
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the tournament office and delegate tasks to team members
    • Develop and encourage staff to pursue new challenges and contribute to departmental goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in sports, preferably in golf tournament management or event planning
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ability to relocate to the Philadelphia, PA area
