Job Overview:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, collections, and reporting. They will maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality in their work.

The position requires an organized and detail-oriented accounting professional who will interact with the Company's internal management and external customers.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will report directly to the Chief of Staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and send out invoices to customers, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
  • Monitor and manage aging reports, ensuring timely collections.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with customer accounts.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving billing issues in a timely manner.
  • Validate incoming payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Evaluate customer credit, working with the sales team to mitigate risk.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the accounts receivable processes.
  • Serve as backup to the Accountant as needed by performing general accounting duties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes
  • Very detail-oriented and strong organization skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
