About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Team Lead to join our Baker Hughes Valves team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the test engineers and lab technicians in delivering industry-leading technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Digital Products' leadership and stakeholders to execute the team's commercial roadmap on time and within budget.
  • Guide talent development and growth toward being a highly-performant team.
  • Allocate talent to execute project requirements, balancing the allocation of resources to achieve the greatest risk mitigation and/or opportunity benefits while ensuring team productivity.
  • Manage the Instrument Lab space and fixtures, organizing the following 5S. Balance functional, operational, and customer/demo capabilities.
  • Identify needs and provide inputs to budget planning for upgrades such as equipment and automation.
  • Understand high-level project and program requirements and translate them into test program targets.
  • Leverage Agile/Scrum processes to coordinate test program development with the project manager, firmware, software, mechanical, and electrical engineers, and other disciplines.
  • Collaborate with key program stakeholder groups to effectively and successfully define and complete program deliverables.
  • Define and scope test plans for electrical, mechanical, and firmware elements, leading project and program test execution. Provide expertise and feedback to engineering teams to streamline informal and formal testing.
  • Identify and manage technical risk, understanding trade-offs.
  • Support field, customer, and warranty escalations.
  • Guarantee the high quality of released documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate accountability to meet team, business, and Company objectives.
  • Ensure the team's adherence to HSE and compliance requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering plus a minimum of 6 years' experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in test planning, development, and execution in a multi-disciplinary project or program team.
  • Clear thinker, making decisions with speed and accuracy based on the best available information.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively with different levels within and across the organization.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-directed, highly resilient, creative, and solution-oriented.
  • Ability to operate iteratively to define and prioritize work based on technical dependencies, required resources, and commercial needs.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow.
