Job Summary

LBC Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursing Supervisor to join our team at The Residence at Bala Cynwyd. As a key member of our Resident Care Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our skilled care unit, ensuring the highest level of quality care and service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the evaluation of resident needs and the development and revision of service plans in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of resident care associates, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Evaluate resident issues and medical concerns, and discuss with the ED, family, and MD as appropriate.
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with all departments to eliminate problem areas and improve services.
  • Monitor resident care assistants' compliance with infection control and sharps disposal programs.
  • Participate in the direct care of residents as needed.
  • Provide support to resident care associates regarding assignment questions or concerns, as well as emergency situations.
  • Ensure that all required staffing and schedules are met at all times, including backup coverage for staff.
  • Ensure completion and review of incident/accident reports and implement changes through proper channels to minimize future issues.
  • Assist the Resident Care Director with all documentation required by LCB Senior Living or state requirements.
  • The RN Designee provides oversight for both Assisted Living and Reflections Neighborhood.
  • Assists the SALSA with the supervision of nurses aides and nurses.
  • Administer topical and oral medications, sublingual, as well as ear and eye drops, and administer injectables where allowed by regulation.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The professional knowledge and skills necessary to assist in the planning for the Resident Care Department in accordance with current state, federal, and local standards to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
  • Education: A high school diploma and graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
  • Experience: Shall, at a minimum, be at least 21 years of age and at least two years of experience in a geriatric setting and previous health experience in hospital and/or community setting.
  • Certificates/Licenses: Current RN.
  • Physical Demands: Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment. Visual and auditory acuity. Must be able to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs. and be able to carry objects. Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit, and stand. Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate. Must use good body mechanics. Should be neat and well-groomed. Must be able to type and use a computer. Must project a positive attitude towards the service provided.
