The Senior Associate, Business Development is a key position that will work across all hospitals, divisions, and affiliates associated within Penn Medicine, assisting in the development and execution of the organization's strategic plans.

This position will be responsible for supporting strategic initiatives by assisting in the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of growth organically or through mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

The Senior Associate will work closely with leaders and teammates across all functions of the business, including legal, finance, and operations.

The Senior Associate will collaborate with a group of highly motivated teammates and be expected to successfully manage multiple work streams and effectively communicate analyses within the team and with senior executives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting in planning and executing strategic growth initiatives
  • Completing valuation analysis and performing rigorous analysis of operational and financial impact of potential transactions
  • Participating in and preparing for meetings and due diligence sessions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting financial and operational due diligence analysis of business opportunities
  • Supporting AVPs, VPs, and SVPs as well as other leaders in developing and presenting executive-level memoranda, presentations, and detailed financial analysis
  • Researching, reviewing, and screening potential acquisition and partnership opportunities
  • Supporting ad hoc projects and other administrative tasks to enhance the group's infrastructure and connectivity with internal stakeholders

Requirements include:

  • Master's Degree
  • 4+ years of progressive and relevant experience in healthcare or business development functions
  • 0-1 year project management experience with demonstrated increase in responsibility and project complexity
