Position Overview:

The Department of Anesthesiology at AMN Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Clinical Anesthesia Specialist to join our team. This role is designed for a professional who is committed to delivering exceptional anesthesia care in a flexible work environment with no on-call requirements, weekends, or night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide anesthesia services for patients across various clinical settings, including outpatient facilities and surgical centers.
  • Collaborate with a team of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and resident physicians to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Engage in administrative duties and participate in departmental committees.
  • Facilitate training and education for residents and medical students in a clinical environment.
  • Stay updated with advancements in anesthesia practices through continuous professional development.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess:
- MD, DO, or equivalent international degree
- Completion of 48 months of Anesthesiology Residency Training or 12 months of Preliminary Residency Training followed by 36 months of Anesthesiology Residency Training
- Valid Texas Medical License or eligibility for licensure
- Board Certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology
- Participation in Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA) as applicable
- Valid DEA Registration Number
- ACLS certification or in the process of obtaining certification


Compensation and Benefits:

AMN Healthcare offers a competitive salary structure starting from $480,000 to $525,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise. Additional compensation is available for call shifts and extended hours, with home call stipends offered as well.
