About the Role

Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team. As a diagnostic and rehabilitation specialist, you will be responsible for assessing auditory function in patients of all ages and providing comprehensive diagnostic audiological evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic audiological evaluations, including newborn hearing screenings and otoacoustic emissions
  • Assess candidacy of patients with hearing loss for hearing aids and implantable devices
  • Provide appropriate rehabilitation options to ensure the best possible outcome
  • Communicate educational, medical, and diagnostic procedural information to patients and their families
  • Facilitate departmental practice by scheduling and coordinating appointments

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Audiology or Doctor of Audiology Doctorate (Au.D.) in state of practice
  • 1 year of experience in the audiology field
  • Current hearing aid license in state of practice
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology, CCC-A from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (preferred)
