We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As an Audiologist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive audiological services to patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic audiological evaluations, including newborn hearing screenings and otoacoustic emissions.
- Assess candidacy of patients with hearing loss for hearing aids and implantable devices, and provide appropriate rehabilitation options.
- Communicate educational, medical, and diagnostic procedural information to patients and their families in a clear and concise manner.
- Facilitate departmental practice by scheduling and coordinating all appointment types.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new employees as assigned, and attend appropriate in-services/education programs.
- Master's degree in Audiology, or a Doctor of Audiology Doctorate (Au.D.) in the state of practice.
- 1 year of experience in the audiology field.
- Current hearing aid license in the state of practice.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology, CCC-A from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), preferred.
The physical essential functions of this job include frequently exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force to move objects, and occasionally exerting up to 100 pounds of force. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
