Business and Real Estate Litigation Associate Attorney

Singerman, Mills, Desberg & Kauntz Co., L.P.A. is a dynamic law firm in Beachwood, Ohio, specializing in business law, litigation, secured lending, real estate, tax, and estate planning and administration.

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Business and Real Estate Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join our legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned attorney to work on sophisticated legal matters and make a significant impact within our firm, providing comprehensive legal counsel.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, commercial lease issues, property disputes, business torts, and other commercial-related disputes.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal briefs and memoranda.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes in a manner that best serves the client's interests.
  • Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on legal and business matters.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and in good standing.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a litigator, with a strong focus on real estate and business litigation.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience. Candidates should have experience litigating and arbitrating commercial disputes involving breach of contract, business torts, and other business-related actions, with additional experience in matters involving construction and real estate issues.
