The Medical Assistant Lead is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for overseeing the planning, provision, and evaluation of patient care. This role requires a high level of expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to train and develop other Medical Assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and ensure that all Medical Assistants follow quality measures.
  • Manage clinical back-office flow, interact with clinical staff, and oversee daily functions.
  • Ensure all Medical Assistants provide quality medical treatment and promote a positive work environment.
  • Train and develop Medical Assistants to improve performance and skill level.
  • Recognize achievements, provide performance appraisals, and update documentation as needed.
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding.
  • Expertise in electronic health records and computer literacy.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Certified in AED and CPR.
  • At least 5 years as a certified medical assistant.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to use fine motor skills to operate equipment.
  • Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing.
