Family Support Coordinator

The RoleThis full-time position is responsible for providing home-based services to families who have sons and daughters eligible for DDS services. The Family Support Coordinator will assist families in accessing community supports and services, including state and federal entitlement benefits. This role requires a strong understanding of Massachusetts Special Education Laws and the ability to collaborate with other agencies.
Responsibilities and Duties- Inform families about available supports and services and assist them in accessing these resources.
- Assist families in obtaining state and federal entitlement benefits, such as SSI and CommonHealth clinical/medical supports.
- Have a strong understanding of Massachusetts Special Education Laws and be able to apply this knowledge in practice.
- Assist families in working with collaterals and collaborating with other agencies.
- Supervise support staff working in families' homes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Education, Human Services, or a related field is required. Master's Degree position is also available.
- Up to two years of family support case management experience preferred.
- A passion and dedication to supporting individuals and families are essential.
- Valid Driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record are required.
- Must pass company background and reference checks.
