About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Coordinator LVN to join our team at Upbring Children's Shelters.

In this critical role, you will coordinate medical care and services for unaccompanied children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. As a Medical Coordinator LVN, you will work closely with our clinical and program teams to provide high-quality care and support to our clients.

Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate initial medical screenings and follow-up appointments with designated pediatric clinics.
  2. Provide routine health screenings, assess medical needs, and ensure timely reporting to medical and clinical staff.
  3. Administer medication and treatment as prescribed, coordinate medical appointments, and oversee nutritional needs and diet.
  4. Support infection-control policies and procedures, facilitate trainings for staff, and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) or proficiency in the service area and population.
  • Associate degree in medical or sciences field and 1-year child welfare experience or additional years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
  • Current LVN license to practice in the state of Texas.
  • 3 years' nursing experience, 1-year supervisory experience, and ability to lead at least two direct reports.
