Medical Lead - Hospital Medicine

DHR Health is seeking a Medical Lead - Hospital Medicine to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Medical Lead - Hospital Medicine will be responsible for overseeing the medical team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor scheduling of x-ray staff for smooth workflow with patients and providers in the clinic on a daily basis
  • Monitor scheduling of radiologic equipment to ensure availability for clinic demand based on patient load
  • Assist in training new staff and/or retraining as needed
  • Prepare and order necessary supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures, and work in urgent patients as needed
  • Perform necessary quality control and maintenance on equipment and keep logs updated for audits and inspections
  • Responsible for the care and cleanliness of equipment, supplies, and work area
  • Perform radiologic procedures as per procedure protocols, optimizing imaging examinations to use only the radiation necessary to produce diagnostic-quality images
  • Complete accurate documentation on patient records in the EMR according to policy

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited LMRT education program
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience in a medical practice
  • Must be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English required, Spanish preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians
  • Hospital or MD office experience preferred
  • Computer/EMR knowledge required
  • Must project a professional image

Working Conditions:

Employees must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned unit.

The individual must demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirement relative to his or her age.

Physical Demands:

Light/moderate lifting up to 20 lbs, from the floor to shoulder height.

Operating office equipment, Operating mechanical equipment.

Intelligence:

To comprehend language, to understand relationships between words, and to understand meanings of whole sentences and paragraphs. Ability to perform arithmetic operations quickly and accurately.

Form Perception:

Ability to perceive pertinent details and objects or in pictorial or graphic material to make visual comparisons and discriminations and see slight differences in shapes and shadings of figures and widths and lengths of lines.

Clerical Perception:

Ability to receive pertinent details and verbal or tabular material. Ability to move the hand and foot coordinately with each other in accordance with visual stimuli.
