Position Summary:
The Branch Operations Leader embodies the mission, vision, and values of Orlando Credit Union, consistently striving to fulfill the organization's goal of fostering enduring relationships with members, both internally and externally, by enhancing their financial journeys. This role is pivotal in guiding branch personnel to meet and exceed the objectives of the branch and the credit union. The individual will oversee the strategic and operational initiatives of the branch, ensuring that it achieves its growth, sales, and service targets. The Branch Operations Leader will also be responsible for identifying new revenue streams within the branch's market area, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures, and managing the full spectrum of services offered to members and potential members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exemplifies a strong commitment to exceptional member service at all times.
  • Addresses complex service issues or escalates them as necessary to guarantee member satisfaction and retention.
  • Engages in proactive sales initiatives for products and services, directing business development through outreach, in-branch sales, and targeted communications.
  • Fosters relationships with members through diligent follow-up on services provided.
  • Ensures efficient branch operations through ongoing assessment and enhancements.
  • Leads by example in generating new loans, deposit accounts, and other services available to members.
  • Monitors and reports on branch performance in key metrics.
  • Develops and proposes annual performance targets for both team and individual contributors.
  • Mentors and guides branch staff to maximize sales opportunities related to retail deposits, lending, and additional services.
  • Encourages professional growth among branch staff through tailored training programs.
  • Maintains a motivated and well-trained workforce, fostering effective employee relations and conducting regular performance reviews.
  • Oversees staffing needs for the branch, including recruitment, vetting, interviewing, and hiring processes.
  • Manages daily staff scheduling, tracking attendance, overtime, and leave requests.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and collaborates with HR on disciplinary actions and staff counseling as necessary.
  • Adheres to all safety protocols and maintains confidentiality regarding member information.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Actively participates in community engagement through service organizations and credit union-sponsored events.
  • May undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of experience in a credit union or related field, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Financial Management or a related discipline is required.

  • Capability to plan, organize, implement, and interpret various programs and policies.
  • Conflict resolution and mediation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams.
  • Proactively seeks solutions that benefit both members and the credit union.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Must be bondable and registered in accordance with the S.A.F.E. Act.
  • Demonstrated community involvement and volunteerism.

Job Type: Full Time
