Position Overview

The Facilities Service Employee is accountable for maintaining the exterior and interior environments of UTA properties. Responsibilities encompass operating maintenance machinery, performing various maintenance assignments, and executing cleaning duties as necessary. Key tasks include snow and ice management, basic irrigation upkeep, and other service-related labor as designated.

Essential Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • At least six months of verifiable experience in facility upkeep or landscaping, or six months of relevant training.
  • Proven reliability in a position of trust, including a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and sustain a DOT Medical card.
  • Valid driver's license in Utah.
  • Safe driving record with no more than four moving violations in the past three years.
  • No more than one driving under the influence violation within the last decade.
  • Capability to complete and comprehend required safety training pertinent to Facilities Maintenance for Service Employees.
  • Must maintain necessary equipment certifications as mandated.
  • Competence in operating a UTA vehicle and towing trailers with snow removal and landscaping tools.
  • Proficiency in operating and conducting light maintenance on snow removal, de-icing, and landscaping equipment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and during holidays as required.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is a job requirement.
  • -OR- An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

Shift Details: Afternoon shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm with designated days off.
