POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in assisting the Store Manager in fostering a customer-centric and product-oriented sales atmosphere. This position emphasizes our core values and guiding principles throughout all store activities, including managing sales operations, safeguarding assets, and overseeing human resources functions to ensure an exceptional customer experience and optimal profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performance Management

Evaluates sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify business needs; collaborates with the Store Manager to implement in-store business and sales initiatives.

Sets clear expectations and holds the store team accountable for meeting all brand, performance, and conduct standards.
Manages payroll and supply budgets effectively.

Oversees essential operational tasks such as scheduling, shrink audits, physical inventory, opening and closing procedures, timesheet reviews, and payroll accuracy documentation, as well as merchandise flow processes.

Handles all financial transactions in accordance with company policies, including cash management, price adjustments, and merchandise handling; ensures all register activities are executed accurately and in compliance with established protocols.

Guarantees adherence to all relevant laws, loss prevention policies, operational procedures, and controls; conducts training for associates to reinforce proper protocols.

Manages all operational processes, including inventory receipt and dispatch, daily replenishment of merchandise on the sales floor, and preparation for physical inventories.

Ensures that visual merchandising, organization, and store maintenance reflect the brand's standards.
Fosters a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to achieve assigned sales and productivity targets.
Provides training and coaching to ensure the sales team is knowledgeable about products both online and in-store.
Team Development
Inspires and motivates the store team, cultivating a shared vision while exemplifying core values.
Encourages an inclusive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Communicates effectively with store teams and the Store Manager to lead positive transformations.
Seeks opportunities for personal development and actively seeks feedback to enhance leadership skills.
Customer Engagement
Demonstrates, instructs, and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles and standards, ensuring a seamless omnichannel experience.

Exemplifies sales expectations by employing various techniques and sharing product knowledge with customers; assists in recommending merchandise or locating items based on customer preferences.

Ensures timely resolution of customer inquiries and concerns.

Guarantees a swift and efficient checkout experience, staying informed on policies regarding payments, coupon usage, returns, exchanges, security measures, and other relevant operations.

Ensures the team maintains consistent communication with clients through customer engagement initiatives, rewards program participation, and customer sign-up processes.

Talent Management
Assists in the recruitment, hiring, and development of a high-performing team.
Supports, implements, and follows up on all training programs and seminars.
Evaluates and coaches the store team on performance metrics.
In collaboration with the Store Manager, addresses human resources matters promptly and effectively.
Enhances associate and team engagement by recognizing and rewarding exceptional performance.
Ensures compliance with all employment practices and policies.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in retail management preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Able to learn and adapt to technology provided by the company
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills with a proven track record in sales and leadership
Strong organizational abilities and capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proven leadership qualities, training, and team-building skills
Familiarity with the administrative aspects of store operations
Able to effectively communicate with customers and staff
Regular attendance is crucial for this role to ensure adequate coverage for company objectives. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constant walking/standing throughout the shift
Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of the shift)
Frequent climbing (34%-66% of the shift)
