Fairbanks Memorial Hospital is a non-profit facility owned by the Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation. As a Joint Commission-accredited facility with 152 licensed beds, it serves as the primary referral center for residents of Alaska's interior.

This role is responsible for creating, maintaining, and strengthening positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders through various skills such as graphic design, event planning, content creation, social media management, intranet and extranet development, and information dissemination.

The estimated salary for this position in Fairbanks, AK is around $**65,000 - $85,000 per year**, based on industry standards and location.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of public relations and/or marketing, typically obtained through a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Serving as a specialist on the Internal & External Affairs team, providing support to employee communication, public information, marketing, community partnerships, and development.
  2. Performing a range of tasks, including graphic design, writing stories and blogs, event planning, intranet and extranet builds and updates, and social media management, tailoring materials for different audiences.
  3. Ensuring communications remain on brand.
  4. Making appearances as an Internal & External Affairs team representative on work groups to assist in developing and implementing communication plans.
  5. Providing backup support to other team members when necessary.

The selected candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellent organizational skills, creative writing, editing, design, and layout capabilities, along with a basic understanding of internet/intranet builds and communications and social media management.

A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud suite and additional related education/experience are preferred but not required.
