Transportation Support Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading delivery trucks with food supplies and related items;
- Making deliveries to schools or units according to a prescribed schedule;
- Assisting in warehouse duties such as filling requisitions, sorting, packing, loading, and unloading items;
- Picking up and delivering items from one location to another on request;
- Accommodating shifts subject to seasonal changes;
- Safely operating equipment such as forklifts, electrical pallet jacks, 2.5 ton trucks, flatbed trucks, step vans, pickup trucks, and power tailgates.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent;
- Two years of experience in truck driving and delivery work;
- A valid Alaska class A or B commercial driver's license with an air brake endorsement;
- The ability to lift items weighing less than 40 lbs.
We offer a competitive salary range of $26.17 to $30.74 per hour, DOE, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, and life insurance. This position has a retirement association with the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS).
