Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst 2 to join our team at Public Consulting Group. As a Data Analyst 2, you will play a critical role in implementing methodologies, research questions, evaluations, and analysis plans. You will work closely with our team to conduct simple and complex quantitative analyses using SQL, R, and SPSS, among other analysis and statistical software tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement methodologies, research questions, evaluations, and analysis plans
  • Conduct simple and complex quantitative analyses using SQL, R, and SPSS
  • Visualize, interpret, report, and communicate data findings creatively
  • Develop and maintain local databases
  • Map and conduct analysis on source data files (varied formats)
  • Provide technical assistance and conduct training in use of data collection tools
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and monitoring of quality assurance procedures for all analyses
  • Provide guidance, oversight, and development assistance to less senior staff
  • Facilitate the implementation of research projects and monitor for quality and timely completion
  • Support the evaluation team in preparing data requests to access administrative datasets
Requirements
  • Excellent organizational, oral presentation, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytic skills, including the ability to analyze and organize data and display in professional charts and graphs
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously
  • Proficiency in analytic software tools, including SQL, R, and SPSS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, in particular Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Overtime should be expected
  • Ability to interpret results and write complex reports
  • Tableau experience, preferred
  • Previous research experience
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree preferred in relevant field, Bachelor's Degree at a minimum
  • 2 years of experience conducting evaluation and complex analyses
  • 2 years of experience in conducting research or program evaluations of social services agencies

This is a remote, work-from-home position. Public Consulting Group is a remote-friendly organization and is committed to creating a culture where remote work remains a vital part of the company's success.

To be successful in a remote work role at PCG, you must:

  • Be available during your set working hours
  • Have a safe, private, and distraction-free environment in which to complete your work
  • Be able to give your full attention to the completion of your PCG job duties

Some travel to the office or elsewhere may be required for team meetings, client meetings, etc.

We are accepting applications on an ongoing basis until filled.

PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $59,000 - $80,000 and a potential discretionary bonus of up to 10%.
