POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the Blending Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Setting up and operating blending equipment, adding ingredients to blenders, and performing ingredient kit assembly tasks.
- Understanding and adhering to production cards and daily schedules, ensuring compliance with weights, labeling requirements, and formula integrity.
- Maintaining accurate production records and reporting daily information through the appropriate systems.
- Inspecting in-process and finished products for correct weights, labeling, packaging, and pallet configurations, addressing any defects as necessary.
- Performing sanitation duties and ensuring proper housekeeping while adhering to safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Assisting in equipment maintenance and promptly reporting any machinery issues.
- Conducting changeovers and washdowns of equipment as needed.
- Actively participating in team meetings and contributing suggestions for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills required.
- Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.
- Proven mechanical aptitude is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with SAP systems is preferred.
- Capability to work in a dusty environment with strong odors and elevated noise levels is required.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment is essential.
