Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist to join our team at the Department of Veteran Affairs. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide anesthesia services to surgical and out-of-the-operating-room procedures, working closely with CRNAs, Residents, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including orthopedic, ENT, general surgery, vascular, gynecology, urology, and plastics.
  • Collaborate with a team of anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of anesthesia care plans, taking into account patient-specific needs and medical histories.
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and laboratory tests as necessary.
  • Administer anesthesia medications and monitor patients' vital signs during procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with surgeons, CRNAs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to anesthesia care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced training in cardiothoracic anesthesia or acute perioperative pain management/regional anesthesia.
  • Experience working in a team environment, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
