Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to lead the Anesthesia Department at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As the Chief Anesthesiologist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading a team of anesthesiologists, and contributing to the development of the department's strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including perioperative anesthetic care, preoperative assessments, and postoperative care.
  • Lead a team of anesthesiologists, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement the department's strategic plan, including budgeting, resource allocation, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including surgery, nursing, and administration, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices in anesthesia.
Requirements
  • Board certification in anesthesiology.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States.
  • Completion of a residency program in anesthesiology.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
