Job Title: Site Reuse Advisory Committee Specialist

Location: Washington, D.C.

About the Role: The Mayor's Office of Talent and Appointments is seeking a highly skilled Site Reuse Advisory Committee Specialist to advise on the redevelopment or reuse of the Walter Reed Army Medical Center site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice to the Master Developer on community needs, parking and transportation issues, economic development opportunities, environmental guidelines, contract modifications, and other related matters.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address redevelopment opportunities that benefit the local community.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies governing the redevelopment or reuse of the site.
  • Promote sustainable and responsible development practices that align with the Mayor's vision for the area.

Requirements:

  • Mastery of economic development, public safety, law, transportation, affirmative action, and local community issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with experience working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Washington, D.C. residency is required.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

The three community members appointed by the Mayor will include: one from Brightwood, one from Shepherd Park, and one from Takoma.
