Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our team in the Otolaryngology Department at UofL Health. As an APRN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to our inpatient population, which includes oncology patients, trauma patients, and pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan individualized care for patients, including developing treatment plans and collaborating with physicians as needed.
  • Provide education to patients and families on topics such as wound care, nutritional support, and care coordination.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences to ensure quality and continuity of care.
  • Initiate and manage therapeutic plans, including writing prescriptions and requesting consultations as needed.
  • Document and report patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Master of Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure in the state of Kentucky as an APRN.
  • National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current DEA certificate without restriction.
  • Current BLS certification.
