Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Hidalgo Co. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical procedures and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare professionals with clinical duties and patient care
  • Perform technical nursing functions, including vaccinations and preventive treatments
  • Participate in public health preparedness and response efforts
  • Provide patient registration assistance and support vaccination activities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training and education materials
Requirements
  • One academic year from an accredited college or university in a related field
  • One year of experience as a medical assistant
  • Certification as a Registered Medical Assistant preferred
  • Current valid Texas motor vehicle operator's license
  • Ability to be insured by the County's insurance carrier
