About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Epic Systems Analyst to join our team as a consultant. As an Epic Analyst, you will provide intermediate-level support to healthcare professionals by facilitating the assessment of current practice and translating end-user needs into the optimal configuration of clinical applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Epic product function, design, build, and testing expertise for assigned Epic modules
  • Collaborate with end-users to design, build, and optimize their Epic system in a timely and high-quality manner
  • Ensure appropriate decisions, follow-up questions, and workflows/configuration clarifications are completed and documented
  • Facilitate communication with stakeholders from initial requirements to final implementation
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to specifications
  • Contribute to Epic upgrade initiatives or enhancements to workflows, including the design, build, and test phases; troubleshoot problems and questions from end-users
  • Provide Technical/Clinical/Revenue cycle workflow consultation, including application configuration
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate system needs to develop recommendations for customers
  • Work with trainers to develop and maintain application-specific training curriculum and materials
  • Adhere to organization standards for system configuration and change control
  • Troubleshoot and/or resolve application issues and escalate more complex issues as appropriate
  • Determine staffing requirements and supervise the work of any direct reports to ensure effective and efficient group functioning
  • Provide support of application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on-call coverage as required
Requirements
  • Completed Epic CEE (Continued Epic Education) to maintain certifications, proficiencies, and badges
  • At least one active Epic certification(s) with proof of certificate number(s)
  • Any combination of certifications and/or experience
  • Experience with Epic systems build, test, optimization, support, and training with clinical and revenue workflows
  • Ability to demonstrate and have a history of team management (informal or formal), cross-team communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time, e.g., Monday through Thursday, depending on the role and project requirement
  • Background check
  • Drug screening and other health screenings as needed
