About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Epic Systems Specialist to join our team as a Clinical Application Consultant. As a key member of our healthcare IT team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support and guidance to healthcare professionals in the implementation and optimization of Epic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise in the design, build, and testing of Epic systems, with a focus on clinical and revenue cycle workflows.
  • Collaborate with end-users to design, build, and optimize their Epic system, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from initial requirements to final implementation.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to specifications.
  • Contribute to Epic upgrade initiatives and enhancements, including design, build, and test phases, and troubleshoot problems and questions from end-users.
  • Provide technical and clinical workflow consultation, including application configuration, and review, analyze, and evaluate system needs to develop recommendations for customers.
  • Work with trainers to develop and maintain application-specific training curriculum and materials.
  • Adhere to organization standards for system configuration and change control, and troubleshoot and/or resolve application issues and escalate more complex issues as appropriate.
  • Determine staffing requirements and supervise the work of direct reports to ensure effective and efficient group functioning.
  • Provide support for application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on-call coverage as required.
Requirements
  • Completed Epic CEE (Continued Epic Education) to maintain certifications, proficiencies, and badges.
  • At least one active Epic certification(s) with proof of certificate number(s).
  • Any combination of certifications and/or experience.
  • Experience with Epic systems build, test, optimization, support, and training with clinical and revenue workflows.
  • Ability to demonstrate and have a history of team management (informal or formal), cross-team communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time, e.g., Monday through Thursday, depending on the role and project requirement.
  • Background check, drug screening, and other health screenings as needed.
