Job Title: General ManagerJob Summary

As a General Manager at Capriotti's Karas, you will be the face of the company, responsible for delivering uncompromising standards of quality and service. You will ensure that hot food is always served hot, cold food cold, and all food is fresh, in a clean environment, in full uniform with a smile.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Build and lead high-performing teams by identifying, recruiting, and hiring top talent, and utilizing effective performance management strategies to retain team members.
  • Coaching and Development: Coach, develop, and motivate team members by following Capriotti's training standards, identifying and addressing additional development needs, and encouraging growth and retention.
  • Scheduling and Operations: Prepare team schedules with a focus on operational excellence and cost management, ensuring guest satisfaction and team morale.
  • Service and Quality: Role model standards and maintain the culture for delivering exceptional service to guests, ensuring a consistent guest experience at any Capriotti's location.
  • Compliance and Safety: Monitor compliance with health, safety, and building regulations regarding food preparation, serving, and building maintenance.
  • Cash Management and Financials: Responsible for cash management and bank deposits, monitoring budgets, cost of goods sold, labor, payroll records, and all other financial transactions related to the shop.
  • Marketing and Sales: Promote an environment of salesmanship by encouraging a culture of suggestive selling and an orientation towards counter service versus cashier mindsets at the register.
  • Purchasing and Inventory: Utilize effective purchasing, inventory, receiving, and waste-monitoring procedures.
  • Communication and Leadership: Actively participate and promote all brand-wide and local marketing initiatives, demonstrating leadership in Local Shop Marketing (LSM), and utilizing effective communication skills to foster positive relationships with team members, guests, vendors, and other members of the Capriotti's brand.
Requirements
  • Service Orientation: Actively look for ways to help others.
  • Time Management: Demonstrate ability to multi-task, remain hands-on during a busy shift without losing focus on the guest, product quality, and team performance, and organize, plan, and prioritize daily and weekly tasks/projects.
  • Computer/Technology: Experience in POS systems and proficiency in the use of a computer (email, spreadsheets, and other documents).
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to withstand work conditions in temperatures of 0F or less and up to 100F.
  • Ability to move throughout the restaurant for extended periods at a time.
  • Can move 50 lbs. for a distance of up to 10 feet.
  • Ability to balance and move up to 25 lbs. for distances of up to 50 feet.
