Job Summary

The Patient Care Associate plays a vital role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position requires a team player who can work effectively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the Registered Nurse.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Assist with patient education and discharge planning under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
  • Perform basic clinical tasks, such as taking blood pressure and temperature.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • State-tested Nurse Assistant or completion of HCA training related to acute care setting, or a Nursing Student who has completed first semester of an acute care hospital-based clinical experience.
  • BLS certified by American Heart Association.
  • Experience in providing direct patient care.
  • Computer literacy.
