Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our Information Technology team. This role is pivotal in representing the business during various IT projects and initiatives aimed at achieving IT-related business objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently. Problem-solving capabilities are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze industry trends and challenges, proposing technical solutions that add value to our business partners.
  • Evaluate business strategies and user requirements, documenting specifications and translating business goals into precise system requirements.
  • Assist business stakeholders in developing business cases for new applications and functionalities, including cost-benefit and risk-impact analyses.
  • Deliver value by realizing benefits, minimizing costs, identifying new opportunities, and modernizing organizational processes.
  • Maintain a proactive understanding of business processes and focus on continuous improvement in both business operations and the supporting technologies.
  • Gather requirements into user stories to facilitate engagement with development, QA, and implementation teams.
  • Coordinate system development, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing for projects.
  • Support, test, and enhance moderately complex information systems, ensuring robust error management within assigned applications.
  • Provide training for new users on supported applications as necessary.
  • Oversee application support and ownership for the business portfolio applications.
  • Facilitate end-to-end IT coordination for all related activities.
  • Support assigned applications and ensure secondary resources are well-trained to assist with application support.
  • Reduce application support demands by refining error management processes and delegating initial triage to first-level support staff.
  • Collaborate closely with all IT departments to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Work in conjunction with other business units to identify and deliver enterprise-wide value.
  • Ensure all IT deliverables align with business values and meet expectations.
  • Assist in prioritizing IT backlog items for projects/products in alignment with business stakeholders and objectives.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or IT Business Systems Analysis, including:
    • Requirements definition
    • Business process definition
    • Strong documentation skills
    • Development and support of integrated business applications
    • Implementation and support of applications
    • End-to-end IT coordination and support experience
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience in leading the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of systems programming and related activities.
  • Practical experience in data importation for reporting software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
  • Ability to analyze and operate data effectively.
  • Capability to anticipate system needs based on business user interactions.
  • Understanding of organizational goals and how technology solutions can impact them.
