The Service Desk Associate plays a crucial role in managing service desk operations, facilitating membership sales, and ensuring the cleanliness of the facility and its equipment. This individual will deliver exceptional customer service to both members and guests, frequently engaging with both groups as well as with management and staff to maintain strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome all members and guests upon arrival and bid farewell upon their departure;
- Oversee club access for both members and non-members;
- Address inquiries and resolve member and guest complaints;
- Respond to phone calls and provide information to potential members;
- Conduct tours for prospective members;
- Facilitate membership sales, complete agreements, and input new members into the database;
- Utilize the Point-of-Sale system and manage outstanding account balances;
- Organize and maintain the customer service front desk;
- Schedule appointments for fitness training sessions;
- Perform the Club Walk-Around every 20 minutes and complete necessary checklists;
- Assist new employees by answering questions and providing guidance;
- Execute opening and closing procedures for shifts;
- Maintain club cleanliness, including but not limited to:
- Cleaning equipment and surrounding areas, hydromassage beds, chairs, benches, showers, changing stalls, lockers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, hand dryers, and stall tops;
- Dusting as needed, including vents;
- Wiping down tiles, walls, and doors;
- Vacuuming and mopping floors;
- Restocking toilet paper and soap;
- Emptying trash receptacles;
- Organizing the cleaning supply closet.

- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred;
- Prior experience in customer service and/or sales preferred;
- Experience in cleaning or maintenance preferred;
- Basic computer skills.

- Ability to understand and convey the Judgment Free Zone concept;
- Numerical accuracy;
- Capability to follow instructions;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively;

- Primarily an indoor setting with typical exposure to light, sound, heat, and cold;
- Must frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp, and reach;
- Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry at least 60 lbs;
- Must operate equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers;
- Exposure to standard cleaning products and chemicals;
- Must be able to identify and assess behavior within the environment;
- Must effectively communicate information and ideas for clarity and understanding.
