Job Summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at the Monroe Medical Clinic. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for performing phlebotomy, waived tests, Automated CBCs, EKGs, Spirometry, and assisting in the diagnostic and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood specimens from patients using proper collection tubes for tests ordered.
  • Verify patient information and test orders in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Process specimens according to reference lab guidelines.
  • Track and review test results in EHR daily.
  • Communicate with providers, clinic staff, and reference lab for smooth operation of the department.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduation from an accredited phlebotomy training program required.
  • A minimum of one year experience in a hospital or clinic setting desired.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
