Position Overview

We are in search of a Senior IT Compliance Analyst for a contract role. This position allows for remote work for qualified candidates. The selected individual will be instrumental in overseeing compliance initiatives, reviewing current standards, refreshing them, and creating new standards primarily focused on application development (SDLC, DevOps) in collaboration with various functional teams.

In this capacity, you will apply your compliance expertise to ensure the accurate development of services across multiple departments, enhance compliance programs, and guarantee adherence to relevant Security, State, and Federal Policies and Standards, including but not limited to NIST, HIPAA, and IRS regulations. Your inquisitive nature will drive you to deepen your understanding of evolving regulations and to formulate requirements, controls, and compliance checklists for teams to follow. Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the development, tracking, and execution of compliance activities, including compliance checklists, while identifying and addressing any compliance or regulatory issues and risks.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for the Service Delivery organization, supporting various departments and application teams.
  • Evaluating departmental needs to interpret policies and standards, and creating checklists and procedures for team utilization.
  • Compiling a comprehensive checklist of all compliance and standards necessary for adherence by departments within the Service Delivery & Support organization, such as DevOps/Applications.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to facilitate the creation of standards and working closely with the Security organization to ensure compliance checklists and security standards are detailed and actionable.
  • Generating and presenting reports on compliance adherence, identifying gaps and risks, and partnering with teams to mitigate these risks and enhance compliance adherence.
  • Continuously refining the compliance process to improve efficiency, working collaboratively with impacted areas, partner groups, and vendors.
  • Reviewing audit findings and collaborating with functional areas to ensure timely remediation of these findings.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in standards development, particularly in SDLC and DevOps (application development & support).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a keen interest in researching best practices and industry trends.
  • Demonstrated IT compliance experience.
  • Familiarity with NIST and HIPAA standards.
