Job Overview:
The West Virginia Department of Education is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Special Needs Educator. This role is crucial in providing tailored educational experiences for students with diverse learning requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom environments.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student development and educational strategies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a valid West Virginia Teacher Certification in Multi-Categorical Special Education (LD/BD/ID/DD) and Autism, as well as Severe Disabilities PK-AD.

Compensation:
Salary will be determined based on experience and educational background, in accordance with the CBOE salary schedule, complemented by a competitive benefits package.
