Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Specialist to join our team at Scuttlebutt Services, LLC. As a CAD Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining engineering documentation, including drawings and BOMs, using AutoCad, SolidWorks, and our company's ERP System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed engineering documentation, including drawings and BOMs.
  • Create DFX drawings of parts and assemblies consistent with customer or internal specifications.
  • Interpret customer technical specifications to produce customer quotations.
  • Develop 2D Cam programs for burn table and weld robots.
  • Prepare nest files for production.
  • Provide timely and effective communication with internal teams and assigned customers.
  • Select hardware and other standard components for new designs.
  • Assign tolerance of specific parts per prescribed standards using tolerance analysis software.
  • Participate in design review as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to obtain material requirements to meet codes and specifications.
  • May write engineering change orders to improve/correct production documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Design, or Engineering.
  • Strong experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of ASME standards.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Good understanding of LEAN concepts in a job shop environment.
